For Dimitrii Arabadji, CSS JR. Monitoring Analyst, the journey started from an IT Support role within Stefanini. At the time, he only had basic exposure to cybersecurity, but when an internal opportunity appeared, he decided to step outside his comfort zone and give it a chance. Looking back now, he describes it as one of the best career decisions he could have made.
The transition itself wasn’t easy. The first weeks after the project launch were intense, fast-paced, and full of situations he had never encountered before. Yet what stood out most during that period wasn’t the pressure itself, but the way the team handled it together. Challenges were discussed openly, colleagues constantly supported each other, and mistakes were treated as collective learning moments rather than individual failures. That atmosphere made growth feel natural, even during difficult situations.
Over time, the complicated tasks that once felt overwhelming slowly became manageable. And that, for him, is one of the most rewarding parts of working in cybersecurity, the constant feeling of evolving through experience, teamwork, and problem-solving. Today, the cases he enjoys most are often the most difficult ones, because solving them brings both satisfaction and the feeling that the team’s work genuinely helps clients keep their environments secure and operational.
A similar sense of growth shaped the experience of Apostol Andrei, CSS JR. Monitoring Analyst. Before joining the cybersecurity team, Andrei worked as a Senior Support Engineer within the Global Service Desk and spent a lot of time learning whenever he had the chance, through workshops, trainings, and mentorship opportunities. Cybersecurity wasn’t necessarily part of his original plan, but his potential was recognized internally, and when an opportunity opened within the IAM team, he decided to take it.
What surprised him most was how approachable the learning process felt. Instead of being expected to immediately know everything, he received structured onboarding, practical guidance, and patient explanations from colleagues who focused not only on teaching processes, but also on helping him understand the logic behind them. That support helped transform cybersecurity from something that initially seemed intimidating into something meaningful and engaging.

And maybe that’s also why he describes the field as something where “only the sunrise and sunset are typical”, because every day brings new situations, new challenges, and new opportunities to learn.
For Adelina Moraru, CSS JR. Monitoring Analyst, the path toward cybersecurity started during university, where she studies Information Security at UTM. Before joining Stefanini, she had already gained experience in customer support and billing roles, but she knew she wanted to move closer to the field she was studying. When she heard about the opportunity at Stefanini, she decided to apply, even though she still felt unsure, like many people at the beginning of their careers.
Her first week quickly showed her how dynamic cybersecurity can really be. While still in training, a major global outage related to CrowdStrike impacted users worldwide, creating urgent situations across teams. Even as a newcomer, she was called in to help support the effort. It was stressful and overwhelming, but also one of the most valuable learning experiences she could have had so early in her journey.
More importantly, it made her realize how much teamwork matters in cybersecurity. She never felt uncomfortable asking questions, and colleagues were always willing to explain things in a way that made sense. Little by little, the uncertainty disappeared, confidence started to build, and tasks that once seemed complicated became part of her daily routine.
What connects all these stories is not the fact that they started with extensive cybersecurity knowledge.
None of them started as cybersecurity experts.
None of them felt 100% ready.
But all of them were willing to learn, ask questions, and step outside their comfort zones.
